Eyes On The Ice

Since we missed the last two games this one was the first one we were able to watch and well it was a good game for both teams, and for those who didn’t get to see it, the Flyers came out winning after Scott Hartnell scored goal number 3 in OT with .06 seconds left breaking the Pens 11 game winning streak, VERY surprising turn of events 

For those Pittsburgh fans out there, We are pretty sure you have already heard that Sid was cleared for contact on Tuesday, and rumors of his return have been everywhere! Well, Sid cleared us on whether he will play Sunday.

Sidney Crosby will not be in line-up on Sunday against the Boston Bruins. Crosby has only practiced with contact twice.

 ”NO, i’m not playing.” Crosby said. “the good thing is that we have a good chunk of practices next week so we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully, it’s soon”

I know that there are people who would like to see him in Line-up as soon as possible, and then there is the other side where people would rather he wait. either way we know his return is only a couple of weeks away.  

Washington Capitals, Mike Green, has been suspended for three games for an illegal hit on Tampa Bay Lightning forward, Brett Connolly. The hit happened on Thursday, March 8th at 11:03 in the second period, during the game in Washington, no penalty was given on the hit. Green will be giving up 85,135.14, based on his average annual salary. All of the money going to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

Stamkos leads the NHL with 48 goals and is tied with Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin with 81 points. The 22-year-old Stamkos has been on a tear of late with 11 goals and 19 points in his last 10 games.

The lightning are 7-3-0 in their last ten games, and you can bet Stamkos has been helping out with that.

The Bolts are only 4 points away from being in the 8th spot for the playoffs, hopefully Stamkos keeps up his good work and takes them all the way to the playoffs

The Pens are coming into this game riding a 5 game winning streak, and the Coyotes are currently on a 2 game losing streak, lets see how this game turns out. whether you’re cheering for the Pens or the Coyotes i’m sure it will be a good game.
